Dr. Stephanie Samar is a New York State Licensed Psychologist specializing in clinical treatments for child, adolescent, and young adult and parents. Her main focus is in supporting individuals and families managing mood and anxiety disorders. She’s dedicated to providing person-centered, strength-based support that serves to empower clients and their families.
Dr. Samar is formally trained in a variety of evidence-based treatments including:

- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Children (DBT-C)
- Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

Dr. Samar has contributed to the field by creating and implementing adapted DBT interventions—WaveRiders and Mood Masters—that helps preadolescents with intensely dysregulated emotions and behaviors. She also trains, supervises, and provides consultation to psychological trainees, licensed psychologists and social workers.
